N V M | 9 Luxury Denim Wear
With NVM |9, I was responsible for the design of denim wear, trims package and apparel graphic. As being part of the denim design team, my focus included trend research, counter sample shopping, sourcing, line-building, color story as well as hands-on actual design, sketch, and prepare tech-pack and linesheet of the product. Additionally, I had intensive work experience contracted for 1 year in Hong Kong and China with manufacturer. My duties included approved lab dips and strike offs for wash effect, hand feel, embellishments, prints and color ways on denim wear. The hands-on experience of working directly with factory provided invaluable experience into the complete sample making process. I maintained communications and interfaced with manufacturers in Hong Kong and China to ensure product development proceeded correctly and on time. I was also responsible for the design of apparel prints ( pattern design, repeats, multiple color-ways, coordinates ) and trims package design for denim wears (shank button, rivet, backpatch, hangtag, care label, belt buckle and many more.) I was responsible for fully trims development. From research, sketch, preparing artwork, measurement and material selection and consideration of safety.
